Halloween, or peaceful occupation of the Tokyo region of Sibuya
In the past few years, the Halloween Day cosple events have become increasingly popular. On 31 October last, during Halloween Knight ' s holiday, the famous Tokyo crossroads of Sibuya were literally occupied in the suits of the young woman's favorites, which many media outlets did not mention. Cosple is gradually becoming a culture for the chosen recovery, rapidly transforming into a generally accessible type of leisure. It prompted me, a cosple veteran, to rethink the Japanese culture of cosple.

Since 2004, I have managed the largest Internet site in Japan for Cure cosples.
At the time of its inception in 2001, in the era of the lack of conventional social networks, the site had been developed as a space for cospleists to put their own images on the Internet into general public view. The site currently has 1, 2 million registered users, 90 per cent of whom are women.

My own career as a cospleist began about 25 years ago, during the sale of the self-propelled anim and manga magazines. At that time, Captain Zubas was considered the most popular characters as a single series of soccer and warriors of Saint Seiya, and many self-sustained magazines offered parody readers to popular comedians. In order to increase the sales of our magazine, we changed into the costumes of known characters and talked to suitable buyers.
